Wish List #1 - Geek Sheek

©

My first Wish List!

I had a lot of things I wanted to put on this wish list but I thought I would narrow it down to these 4 lovely items!

Right, up first is the Petite MOTO Vintage Wash Mom Jeans from Topshop for £ 40.00, now I 'am not a petite person but I couldn't find the regular version of these on the website (must of not looked properly) but I figured that a petite pair of jeans would actually work better because they would be more rolled up, if you know what I mean? so I can get the look I want which is a chic casual geek look!
I wanted my jeans to be slightly baggy but a good fit and rolled up at the bottom enough to see the socks.

The socks are from Dorothy Perkins at £3.00 but you can get these type of socks anywhere, I thought I would pair them with these geek T-bar shoes that I absolutely adore!

Now I had seen these at Topshop but they didn't have my size and I looked online and there were no sizes left. So I googled it! I found these from Amazon for (wait for it) £14.97! Almost half the price as it would cost from Topshop! But I am wary of the quality but for the price it is not bad at all!

Now my ultimate love is the Floppy hat also from Topshop for £28.00 it is made out of black felt and its a perfect match with the geek shoes and the overall look for this outfit I am trying to complete!

This look isn't a summer look but it is good for a medium kind of day where it is not warm but its not too cold either. Kind of like what the weather in Britain is at the moment!

Overall I can not wait to get my hands on these items but I am in search of a top to go with all of this!

Comment below if you have any ideas of a top to complete this look!

Pink Squares

©

Bee Beautiful with Pink and Grey

I adore this outfit! Everything worn here is from Dorothy Perkins from the necklace to the shoes!

As you can tell by now I have a slight obsession with  Dorothy Perkins at the moment I guess its because they have really good clothing at a good price, it is also good because they do special events such as 30% off and 25% off online.

Firstly I will start off with my pink t-shirt, the picture makes it look lighter than it actually is, but its a nice baby pink colour which is perfect for summer. It was a steal at £18.00! It literally goes with anything I wear, trousers and skirts! It has a square pattern and the fit is perfect, its not to big and its not the type of material that clings to you either. The material however is flimsy as you can tell by the picture its hard to keep straight! But when its on it drops on to you and it feels comfy and keeps you cool in the summer days.

T-shirt - Dorothy Perkins - £18.00
Trousers - Dorothy Perkins - £18.00
Necklace - Dorothy Perkins - £14.00

I paired it up with this ankle length black and white check trousers which are really comfy to wear and again great for a summer work look! They are smart trousers but can be worn for days out too if paired with a more vibrant top.

My necklace (mentioned in a previous post) is again silver so it highlights the grey in the trousers more and I finished the outfit off with a pair of mid heel plain black shoes!

I never thought of mixing pink and grey but I love the combination of the baby pink top and checked trousers!

All in all a smart outfit which is great for a day at the office and also looks lovely on a evening out for dinner!

Comment below and let me know what you think of this combo!

Mis Perfumes

©

Bee Beautiful with perfumes from Boss, Gucci, CK and Juicy

Every perfume bottle is different to the next some smell like fruits where others have a strong distinctive musty smell to them. I have gone through a lot of different brands of perfumes and I have come across some brands that I particular like at the moment.

The first one is by Hugo Boss which was gifted to me.

Now I have never used any perfumes from the Hugo Boss range so when I received this I was happy to try it out. I love this perfume as it  has a subtle smell to it and it has a sense of sophistication to the fragrance. The design of the bottle is simple and sleek which is what you expect from a big brand like Hugo Boss.  All in all I think this perfume gives off a sophisticated vibe and the smell isn't too strong however, it doesn't last all day which is a shame.

The second perfume on my list is DOWN TOWN by Calvin Klein.

This perfume is my favourite against all the ones I have tried. The perfume has a summery fruity fragrance to it and it isn't overwhelming or strong like some of the perfumes. It is subtle and playful and gives the summery happy vibe that keeps you in a good mood all day! The fragrance lasts all day which is perfect.

Again, there's nothing fancy about the bottle as they have focused on the product and not the design of the bottle. As you can see I am nearly running out so I will be buying a bigger bottle next time round.

The price isn't huge as well for this perfume as it is reasonable compared to the Hugo Boss perfume mentioned above.

I would say my other favourite is the Gucci Guilty perfume by Gucci.

This perfume has a strong distinctive fragrance to it but it isn't overwhelming, the fragrance is powerful yet light at the same time. I would say the fragrance is musty and gives off a smell similar to some incense sticks. The bottle is shiny and has a good design to it yet it does leave finger prints all over the bottle due to the shiny exterior.

I did buy a Juicy Couture perfume because it was at a good price for the size of the bottle that was on offer.

I use this as my everyday perfume because it has a light refreshing fragrance to it and again it stays on well but not all day. The fragrance is again fruity in my opinion and it is a good perfume for everyday use. The bottle is clear and it has a little charm hanging from the bottle top which I think could be improved with a bit of colour. Overall I do like this perfume but I don't think I would buy it again or buy from the Juicy Couture range again.

That's my most used perfumes I have at the moment! My other favourite perfume would be the Davidoff cool water perfume which is also a light fragrance to wear everyday but I have ran out of it! Add that to my shopping list of things to get!

Comment below and let me know if you use any of these brands and which perfume is your everyday perfume!

Green Florals

Bee Beautiful with a one piece

Jump Suit - £38.00 (Dorothy Perkins)

I adore this jump suit as it is super comfortable to wear. I wore this too a company function and I felt comfortable yet sophisticated the whole day!
The print of this jump suit is bold as it has a green and white floral print on a black back ground.

I teamed it up with a black cardigan and some black shoes with a tiny heel.

The best thing about the jump suit is that the trousers at the top is gathered which gives it a new dimension. It isn't flat as other jump suits. The gathered top gives a fuller look so it looks like you are wearing trousers rather than a jump suit.

The fitting of the jump suit is perfect as it hugs all the right areas, the trousers are a good length and it isn't tight at the bottom which is good as it balances with the gathered top bit of the trousers.

The belt is an added feature but I think it is the main part of the jump suit as it divides both sections, the top and the trousers.

Over all I would wear this jump suit again and again! However, bit tricky going to the toilet!!!

Comment below if you prefer a one suit or a two suit!

Bee's Bags

Bee Beautiful with bags from Fiorelli

I have a slight obsession with bags and I always use to get my bags from Warehouse because I loved how spacious and stylish their bags were. However after a few uses they did begin to lose their colour and began to rip on some of the stitching. I use to spend around 30-40 pounds on the warehouse bags and sometimes I got some in the sale which was always a good find!

I came across some designer bags in House of Fraser and was really surprised at some of the prices, they wasn't that much more than what I normally paid for warehouse bags. I then came across the Fiorelli range and I loved their collection! The price was affordable and sensible, the quality of the material inside and out was really good. I saw a brown Fiorelli bag which I fell in love with and brought it at a steal at just £21.50 in the sale!

Fiorelli at Debenhams - £21.50 (sale price)

It was my first ever Fiorelli bag and till this day it still holds its posture and there is no ripping of the seams or the material inside. The bag has obvious wear and tear  on the sides but overall the quality of the Fiorelli bags are priceless!. The tan colour meant I could wear it with almost every outfit from jeans and t-shirts to evening dresses and work wear. I got a lot of compliments about the bag which was really nice.
For a first Fiorelli bag I was happy!

I then had a look at their own website as I know they sell their products through other stores such as:

  • Debenhams
  • House of Fraser
  • Dorothy Perkins
  • &
  • TK- Maxx

It was my lucky day as they had a sale on and I was very happy to purchase my second Fiorelli bag!

Fiorelli Website - £31.50 (sale price)

This time I went for a black bag as I was on the verge of starting my new job, I wanted a sophisticated look and something that was slightly big to fit all of my things in as well as packed lunch boxes. I opted for this bag because the texture was different as it was a croc affect bag and it looked really smart. The bag arrived to my house and I was excited to have a look, the bag lived up to all of my expectations even though it was slightly on the bigger side than I imagined, I didn't mind because it looked beautiful and it had so many compartments.
I wouldn't say it was my favourite bag purchase because it was of a large size and I personally didn't think it matched all of my outfits as well as my first Fiorelli bag.
For my second Fiorelli bag I was still happy yet I wanted the size to be slightly smaller than it actually was, however still the great Fiorelli quality.

I was on the look out for another bag as this time I wanted to be bolder with my style choice and convert my bag to a much smaller one in which is easier to take around. I went to Debenhams and saw a cobalt blue & black bag which was the perfect size and I would say the colour choice was bold too. I checked online and again my luck was in with a half price sale again and guess what! my bag that I had been eyeing up was in the sale!

Fiorelli Website - £31.50 (sale price)

So in a few days time I had the bag! It was perfect, the perfect size and the colour was bold and deep which is what I was looking for to go with other bold outfits.
Again the same great quality and it has a handy side pocket where I can just slip my phone in and it saves me from going inside of my bag to get to my phone.
It also has this cute little accessory that hangs from the bag which shows sophistication, the accessory and the Fiorelli badge is in silver so it stands out against the deep blue block colour of the bag. The bag has one compartment and the bag is hugely deceptive as it looks small yet it is big inside.
I use this bag everywhere now and it is just perfect to take on days out and to take to work too. It did come with a longer strap for the bag to hang off your shoulder but I have never used that as the bag looks great hanging off my arm!

Well that's my growing collection of Fiorelli bags, I would love to add some more in the future!

3 of Bee's Fav Necklaces

Bee Beautiful with neck wear from Dorothy Perkins

I have always had difficulty in finding a decent necklace to wear with all types of outfits and in finding a necklace that isn't heavy! Yes! all necklaces that I seem to come across seem to weigh a ton, some are huge and some are tiny which isn't really visible.
I just wanted a simple but bold necklace that I can wear and not feel like I'm wearing a 10 kg dumbbell around my neck.

So on a shopping trip I went to Dorothy Perkins and found this lovely necklace!

Dorothy Perkins - £14.00

It was super light as it was a piece of material with beaded embroidery, the colour is a mixture of white and silver which means it will practically go with anything. The design of the necklace is not too big and not too small which is perfect as it can be seen yet not over power the whole outfit. It was a statement piece where the necklace would be the main feature.

I loved these types of necklaces and was on the hunt in Dorothy Perkins to get some more, a few months past and I found my second necklace!

Dorothy Perkins - £14.00

Again, exactly the same material so it was super light weight yet it fills the neck area well. The bronzey colour of this necklace means that again just like the silver necklace this one will go with all type of outfits night outfits and day outfits.
I do find this necklace to be more on the formal side because of its colour and the tear drop design.

I figured I needed a colourful necklace at this point and saw the same necklace as above but in a different colour!

Dorothy Perkins - £14.00

This one has to be my fav just because of its uniqueness and colour of the actual necklace, the colours remind me of an exotic island and as soon as I match this necklace with a bold dark blue top, the necklace stands out and takes the outfit into a new dimension!
This necklace is in the sale at Dorothy Perkins at the moment for half price!

Overall, I love these necklaces as they are light weight which means I wont even realise I'm wearing a necklace and also because of their unique design and colour it makes them stand out from the other necklaces out there on the high street!

4 Soap & Glory Products Bee Loves!

Bee Beautiful with Body Products from Soap & Glory!

I have used a lot of body scrubs, body lotion and hand cream but I never stuck to one brand. I tried a lot of brands because I kept getting bored of them and their smell. Some of the scent from the lotions and scrubs was horrendous and some were pleasant but none of the brands kept me engaged with their products.
I had never heard of Soap & Glory before until me and my friend walked into Boots and she said she wanted some of their products.

I then came across the brand on Instagram and was surprised as to how famous the brand was, I then went to boots and purchased a few essential items!

I firstly brought the Hand Cream because I was using a hand cream from Nivea which was not that bad but it would dry out my hands even more than before. Hence why I thought I would try out the Soap & Glory hand cream.

Soap & Glory Hand Food 125ml (from Boots) - £5.00
I use this everyday without fail, the smell is gorgeous and my hands are left soft and silky. But you cant put too much on because then your hands become oily. Overall, it is a good hand cream and it left my hands feeling softer than ever!

My second favourite product that I brought was the Shower & Bath Body Wash.
Soap & Glory Foam Call Body Wash 500ml (from Boots) - £6.50

Its super creamy and leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth. There is a feeling of luxury when using this product as it has a distinctive smell and its not like any other shower & bath wash. It is great that it can be used whilst having a shower and while having a bath too!

My third favourite is the Moisture Lotion.
Soap & Glory Butter Yourself Lotion (from Boots) 500ml - £10.00
This lotion does wonders for your skin as it has that silky effect to it. I have tried a lot of body lotions from the body shop and I have also used body lotions from different brands too but they all lose their smooth effects after a couple of seconds. This lotion however, stays on your skin making it feel smoother for longer which is exactly what you need in a lotion. The size is brilliant has it is a big bottle of lotion and very good value!

My final favourite is the Body Scrub.

Soap & Glory Flake Away Body Scrub (from Boots) 300ml - £8.00
This little gem takes away all the dirt and pores from your skin and removes dead skin too. It is brilliant as it smooths and hydrates your skin all in one. The scrub has tiny bits in and you just rub that into your skin and wash away and after apply the lotion on and your skin looks fresh and clean!

Well that's the four products Bee loves from Soap & Glory!
There are lots of products that Soap & Glory have in their ranges, they do a lot of gift sets too at Christmas time which means you get up to 4-5 products all in one set!

Bee's Makeup Kit (Then & Now)

Bee Beautiful with Makeup from MAC & NO.7

I was never really into makeup since a few years ago, I didn't know where to start but I knew what the basics were, I use to use No.7 makeup because they sell good quality makeup and its at an affordable price which suited my student budget. NO.7 products did treat me well and I still use two products that I really like even after experimenting with different brands.

I had always heard good things about MAC products but I had never tried it before, all my friends said it was good so I thought I would have a go and buy my foundation from there.

I brought the pro long foundation as the make up artist said it was good for oily skin. My skin when I brought the pro long foundation was oily.

Pro-Long Foundation - £25.00
Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation - £21.50
I applied the foundation with a brush at first and the coverage was really good but I felt like it was cracking near my nose area and it wasn't smooth enough. It also doesn't provide 15 hours of coverage as mine only lasted a few hours and then it was coming off near my chin area.

I then went back and saw studio fix which is a powder and a foundation in one, which was perfect because I had never used powder and I wanted to try it out. I applied this with a brush and it was perfect! my skin was smooth but you have to be careful that it doesn't look uneven as it is a powder. So equal amounts on every part of your face will stop unevenness. All in all the studio fix was my winner from these two products as I found it easier to blend rather than the pro long foundation which is liquid based.

I got the MAC bug after this and went back for more!

This time I got a lipstick, I wanted a red lipstick as it was trending and I wanted to be bold as I never wore lipstick before, I always use to stick to lip gloss as I thought lipstick would look too much on me. I came across the famous Ruby Woo.
Ruby Woo Lipstick - £15.00
Cherry Lip Liner - £12.00
The make up artist put a cherry colour lip liner on my lips first and coloured my lips in. She then applied the ruby woo lipstick and I was in love! I looked so different I didn't think a bold lip colour could change my appearance so drastically. I wear this colour when I' am going out for a meal or to a party as it is that bold and stands out really well.

I decided I needed more of the MAC products and I started to replace my NO.7 products, I thought I would look at blushers and I was very critical because my NO.7 blusher is really good as it isn't too strong in colour and its subtle on my skin tone, it also comes with a little brush too.
MAC Blusher (Warm Peach) - £18.00
NO.7 Blusher (Soft Damson) - £9.00
I looked at the wide range of blushers MAC had to offer and I chose a pink blusher which is not as subtle as the NO.7 blusher. I found that the MAC blusher was very strong in colour but nonetheless the blusher did give a nice glow to my cheeks. I have kept both blushers now and I use the MAC one for occasions.

At this point I was in love with the lipsticks that MAC had to offer.
Retro Matte Lipstick (Pink Poodle)  - £15.00
I wanted a nice tone which I could wear every day to work and on day outs. So I chose the retro matte lipstick which is a lovely fuchsia  colour that goes really well with my skin tone. Even though the colour looks bright, when its on it sits perfectly and stays on all day, which is fantastic!

I wasn't happy with my Nivea face cream as it did nothing good for my skin, I decided to have a look at other brands and try different face creams out.

Comfort Cream - £24.50
I chose the MAC comfort cream as it was like velvet on my skin and gave my skin a nice glow. The areas on my face that sometimes contained dried skin was gone and my face felt more smoother.
This cream is good overall as it freshens the face up and it leaves your face smoother all day.

My next purchase had to be a eye liner, all the eye liners I used in the past didn't give me a straight line. I went through products from Maybelline and Barry M and none of the eye liner was any good, the brush would of been really soft which meant that my eyes would end up as panda eyes!
I then thought of going to see if MAC had any good ones (are you noticing a pattern here?)
Liquid Eye Liner (Black) - £15.00
NO.7 Stay Precise Liquid Eye Liner (Black) - £7.50
This eye liner had a stiff brush which meant that when drawing the line on top of my eye lid, the line would be straight and I would of had more control over it than the other eye liners I had used. The NO.7 eye liner had a soft brush too and it was hard to control, I wouldn't recommend the NO.7 eye liner as it was hard to use and the line would not come out straight.

Talking about eye makeup, the only product I never changed was my NO.7 Intense Volume Waterproof Mascara.

NO.7 Intense Volume Waterproof Mascara (Black)- £9.95

I love this mascara as the brush is not too big and not too small. It was perfect in the way it made my eye lashes longer by just one stroke. There was no lumpiness and the mascara was easy to wash off at the end of the day.

Overall, I think I will change some products and try out different brands to see which one suits me, but till then I am more than happy with my switch from NO.7 to MAC.
And that concludes the end of Bee's Makeup Kit (Then & Now) =)

Hope you enjoyed my first post on my first ever blog!
